How to enrich your spare parts master data

Learn how to improve your master data quality using Partium Parts Catalog.

How can Data Enrichment help improve master data quality?

With Partium, you can enhance your master data quality by enriching it with missing information from the Partium Parts Catalog, which aggregates data from OEMs and other relevant sources. This can significantly help in identifying the actual manufacturer of your parts, streamlining spare parts management, and ultimately reducing procurement costs.

The Partium Parts Catalog includes data on millions of parts, from OEM IDs to detailed part specifications (such as material type, dimensions, or technical attributes). Data enrichment can be performed in bulk (e.g., for the entire catalog or specific categories) or on demand for individual materials. You can reach out to our team to explore how data enrichment can help in your specific case and how to enable access to the Partium Parts Catalog.

How to request and browse enriched data in Partium

On the Part Detail Page, below the Catalog Data section, users can find the AI Enriched Data section. If the organization or its users have previously requested data enrichment for this product, the enriched data will appear in the dedicated section.

If the data has not yet been enriched, users with the appropriate user role will see the Enrichment button. Clicking this button triggers the enrichment process for this particular part. It is possible to configure which users within an organization are permitted to request data enrichment.

When ingesting data into Partium, attributes in the ontology can be labeled as containing Unique Part Identifiers. Once enrichment is triggered, the system analyzes your part data in real time, leveraging these labeled attributes to retrieve information from the Partium Parts Catalog and other relevant data sources. Once the process is complete, the enriched information is displayed on the page. This enriched data will be accessible to all Partium users within the organization, enabling more efficient part identification and sourcing of the parts needed by the company. Another benefit of data enrichment is its ability to help identify duplicates in the catalog.
